Firewise is a nationwide program that educates communities to take action to lower the risk of wildfire danger.
- The program encourages each homeowner to minimize the risk of wildfire damage to their property by creating a defensible space around homes and minimizing structural ignitability.
- Major parts of the program include minimizing natural and manmade fuels close to the house, removing slash and other fuel materials, and creating space between tree crowns. We need your help to track vegetation removed. Please click here for more information.
